Hauora Art - Inspired by Sandra Silberzweig

Lockdown is always a bag of mixed emotions and can be full of both joy and uncertainty.

In The Blended Learning Hub we have been creating art pieces that use colours to depict our feelings and emotions.

We looked at how different colours can symbolise different emotions. We then tuned into our own emotions on how we were feeling pre and post Covid lock-down.

We learnt some facts about Sandra Silberzweig and how she is a Canadian contemporary artist. She uses thick and bold black lines to emphasize her art pieces. She also adds depth to her art by adding different lines, patterns, dots and dashes. She loves colours!
We too used big bold lines and plenty of colour to create our pieces.
This student is using the colour chart, and exemplars as inspiration.

Artist Sandra likes to use patterns, so this student too used patterns
"I used lots of shades of blue because my lock down was relaxing and calm".
